A stunning well made Skeleton clock by the French makers Promoli and Hausburg of Rue de Boulogne 4, Paris.
The adaptation of a “Y” shape clock, this clock features the style of a gothic church window and has been cast very well. the whole frame secured by well blued screws that support the beautifully white porcelain dial with blue numerals and name. The open pierced fine hands are undamaged and can be read easily.
The outside countwheel striking movement is finely made and is engraved with the makers name (Promoli & Hausburg) and the serial number 150 on the backplate. The movement is currently shown unrestored. however it is scheduled to be completely overhauled and will be polished using an age old technique using chalk, this gives the brass a finish that looks stunning, lasts a longtime and cannot be replicated with modern abrasive compounds. it will then have three years guarantee for your peace of mind
